One of the most famous festivals in Italy, the Palio di Siena, takes place twice a year in July and August. While the horse race is the main attraction, the festival also features impressive flag-throwing displays.

Calcio Storico in Florence is a festival that combines a historic football match with medieval pageantry. Flag throwers lead the procession, adding a dramatic flair to the event.

Giostra della Quintana in Foligno is a jousting tournament in Umbria where flag throwing is prominently featured. The festival recreates the atmosphere of a medieval fair, complete with costumed participants.

Volterra AD 1398, held in the picturesque town of Volterra, transports visitors back to the 14th century. Flag throwers are a key attraction, performing against the backdrop of the town’s historic architecture.
